Innovation and Design Building
Join us for this year's IDCD at the Innovation and Design Center!
The Innovation and Design Building originally served as a waterside storehouse for the South Boston Army Base, and during World War II employed 50,000 people to repair and overhaul American ships as well as warehouse and distribute a wide range of military goods and supplies. Today the Innovation and Design Building is home to a dynamic mix of companies and industries that include architecture and design, creative service studios, specialized manufacturing facilities, research and development firms, and technology start-ups. The Innovation and Design Building is also home to the Boston Design Center, New England’s premier resource for design professionals, with showrooms featuring more than 1,200 luxury furnishings and decorating product lines.
The Innovation and Design Building is accessible by several means:
There are two Hubway bike share stations located on Drydock Avenue.
The IDB has over 300 interior bike racks in the back corridor and 20 exterior bike racks located in promenade containers.
Marine Industrial Park Central Parking Garage - Two-Street Entry: 369 Northern Ave, Boston MA 02210 | 12 Drydock Ave, Boston, MA 02210
